The Sign of Jonas: The Cross
Octave Day of Christmas (Jan 1): At the beginning of the world, we find the Cross. At the end of the world, we find the Cross. At the middle of the world, we find the Cross. The Cross is our heritage. It is our goal. It the means of reaching the end. And it is good. This is the sign of life, the sign of salvation, the sign of election. Here is how we must begin our year and end it… with the Cross. It is only by embracing the Cross of love of God and neighbor, of fulfilling our duties of life that we will gain the victory... calm our fears, to set our hearts at rest, and direct our feet on the right path at all times. Oh how important it is to know and love the Cross!
