Consider the holiness and penance of the saint today. The devil once said to the Cure “Scoundrel, you have already robbed me of 80,000 souls this year and if there were to be 4 Priests like you, my kingdom on earth would be immediately finished. John Baptiste Vianney, affectionately called the “Curé of Ars,” is the Catholic Church’s patron saint of parish priests. He was a champion of the poor as a Third Order Franciscan. We need Holy Priests now as this great Patron of Parish Priests.
