Exposing the Doppelganger "Cosmic Christ"
Many are concerned with what we are witnessing in the Church at this time. It seems to many that there are, as it were, two Magisteriums, two Romes, even two Churches. It appears that soon there may even be two forms of marriage available inside the Church just as there are two forms of the Mass in the Latin Rite. Some are saying a schism is just around the corner. How can we understand this strange situation and remain faithful Catholics?
During the Septuagesima season we reflected on the Doppelganger literary form that has proliferated since the French Revolution, in which man is portrayed as divided...having an alter ego, evil twin, or an impersonating double (cf. http://reginaprophetarum.org/audio/20... and http://reginaprophetarum.org/audio/20.... It seems to me the concept of a Doppelganger goes a long way in explaining what we are presently experiencing, and the Doppelganger is Chardin's cosmic christ!
