This is very insightful. Thank you. I composed a few songs for Our Lord and Our Lady . Is it possible to point me in the right direction on how I can make them Gregorian. I just used basic knowledge from music to compose my music many decades ago . I discovered Im really drawn to Sacred music especially chants. im not sure why but i really love it. I would like to learn more on Sacred Music.

Well, to compose Gregorian Chant properly requires a very thorough understanding of its history, its various compositional styles & melodic formulas, their roles, the Latin language of course, and a very thorough understanding of Gregorian Modes.
