In this episode Jason once again sits down with Fr. Colin Blatchford from Courage International. Courage and Encourage are a Roman Catholic apostolate for men and women who experience same-sex attractions and those who love them. Fr. Blatchford and Jason discuss the recent annual Courage Conference and ministry outreach to those Catholics with same sex attractions and their journey to live lives in accordance with the Gospel messages or chastity and purity. Other topics include the secular attack on the family, the role of parents in proper formation and guidance of their children, and some tough Q & A questions that relate to many of the identity struggles of individuals in today's world.
In this episode Frank and Jason sit down once again and discuss Catholicizing media and using modern resources to engage in dialogue and study regarding pertinent world and church news and perspective. They discuss the importance of humor within social media, interpersonal relationships, life, and stressful situations to ease the pressure and allow for recreation and a reprieve for the oftentimes burdensome responsibilities, duties, and obligations of life. Archbishop Fulton J Sheen said it best, “A divine sense of humor belongs to poets and saints because they have been richly endowed with a sense of the invisible and can look out upon the same phenomena that other mortals take seriously and see in them something of the divine.” Topics also include the daily crosses, faith, the Traditional Latin Mass, and much more!
In this episode Jason sits down with Jim De Piante and discuss the continued pro-abortion protests and threats against the potential reversal of Roe vs. Wade, cancel culture and how it not only affects those opposed to modern, secular beliefs, but how there also seems to be a growing sense of cancellation against those attached to the traditional Latin Mass and church tradition from those within the hierarchy and leadership within the Church. Other topics include the persecution of China's Cardinal Zen, the Pope "doubles down" on his condemnation against tradition, the spike of canonizations in recent history, and a growing resistance against the modernist ideology in both society and the Church.
In this episode Jason sits down with Jim De Piante to discuss a mixed bag of hot topics revolving around men's obligations towards God, family and self. These topics include recent Roe vs. Wade potential reversal and the threats and actions taken against the catholic Church and the Holy Eucharist and our responsibilities to be vigilant and protect Holy Mother Church. We also compare the recent "Father Stu" movie against the story of priest and victim Fr. LaPraz of whom the book "Toda Nada" was written and published by the Priesty Society of Saint Pius X. We address the cause for caution and concern of many Catholics regarding the language used in the 'Father Stu" movie and the need for good Catholic oversight and production of films. Abby Johnson's conversion story, good versus great, and ordinary vs. extraordinary and heroic men.
In this episode Jason sits down again with Jim De Piante who is the co-host of "Welcome to Tradition" podcast and follower of the Traditional Latin Mass and attends the Society of St. Pius the X Chapel of St. Anthony's in Mt. Holly, NC. Jim is a lifelong Catholic, husband, father of five children, and Latin Mass follower for over 40 years. Jason and Jim discuss the "New Coke" failed advertising and implementation attempts in 1985 and how quickly Coke learned from their failure to convince the public that the new formula was better than the original. They discuss proper prudence and authority, obedience and disobedience, false canonical accusations against SSPX and why it is permissible to promote and attend the Traditional Latin Mass, Sacraments, and liturgies.
This week we sit down with Jim DePiante. Jim has been involved in the Traditional Latin Mass movement for over 30 years and his family was instrumental in the foundation of St. Anthony's Chapel in Charlotte in 1981. Jim and Jason discuss the differences between the Novis Ordo (New Rite) and Traditional Latin Mass along with the Priestly Society of Saint Pius the X.
