⁣Anthony and Rob discuss the rumors and leaks of a possible upcoming Apostolic Constitution from Pope Francis that could further restrict the traditional Latin Mass even more than "Traditionis custodes". Another disturbing part of the rumor is that changes will also be made to the Novus Ordo Mass. As recent Masses in the Vatican show, one part of those changes could be Communion in the hand being made law. If that happens, what will you personally do?

Avoiding Babylon was started during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. During these difficult and dark days, when most of us were isolated from family, friends, our parishes, and even the Sacraments themselves, this channel was started as a statement of standing against the tyrannical mandates that many of us were living under. Since those early days, this channel has morphed into an amazing community of friends…no…more than friends…Christian brothers and sisters…who have grown in joy and charity.

Avoiding Babylon does not criticize the hierarchy or institutional Church, especially Pope Francis. We recognize there is an unprecedented crisis in the Church, but we feel that there are other shows that address these issues that are more qualified than us. Instead, we try to remind ourselves and those who enjoy the channel that being Catholic is a joyful and exciting experience. We seek true Catholic fraternity and eutrapelia with other Catholics who, like us, are doing their best to live out their vocation with the help of God’s Grace. Above all, we try to bring humor and joy to the craziness of this fallen world, for as Hillaire Belloc has famously said:

“Wherever the Catholic sun doth shine,
There’s always laughter and good red wine.
At least I’ve always found it so.
Benedicamus Domino!”

⁣Today, Bishop Daniel Felton of the Diocese of Duluth, MN announced how Pope Francis's motu proprio, "Traditionis custodes", would be implemented in the Duluth diocese. It was much better news than many dioceses have received. The current weekly TLM in the diocese will continue as is with no changes. The "moderator" of the TLM community in the diocese is Father Joel Hastings, who is the Director of Liturgy for the Duluth diocese and is the priest who has been saying the weekly TLM.

I apologize for the poor video. I could not as sit as close as I would have liked and my 4 year old kept making me move the camera.

⁣You probably saw Joe and Anthony derail the whole channel last week in their discussions on the SSPX, sedevacantism, "nuance", etc. Well, Rob finally has a chance to respond and share his thoughts. Will he use nuance to get the channel back on track? Or, will he help Joe pull it off the tracks and burn every bridge behind it?

Also, tune in to see how the show introduces us to a saint and figure in Catholic tradition in the very first scene of the show.

⁣This is the show that Anthony promised he would never do. Nothing will be off the table in this discussion. Honestly, this could go so wrong that Rob has decided to not even show his face. Be warned!

Anthony and Joe discuss much of the controversy and vitriol in the Church today, especially in regard to the traditional movement. They share their thoughts on criticisms from Michael Lofton, Matt Fradd, and others.

⁣Dr. Paul Thigpen joins Anthony and Rob to discuss his new book, "The Life of St Joseph as
Seen by the Mystics". This book is a compilation and retelling of visions from five of the Church's mystics on the life of Saint Joseph.

This work serves as a companion to The Life of Mary as Seen by the Mystics, compiled by Raphael Brown (TAN Books, 1991). Together, the two books offer a compelling vision of the Holy Family that can deepen and transform your devotion to Jesus, Mary, and Joseph.

⁣The fashion brand Balenciaga has been in very hot water recently over advertising/marketing campaigns that seem to celebrate and promote the sexual exploitation of children. Was this some attempt to be fashionably edgy and controversial? Or is this just another example of global elites showing us that they can get away with anything?

In addition, we will be discussing the recent antics of Kanye "Ye" West.

We will also be discussing insane NY gun laws with The Armed Catholic himself, and the sort of crime that these laws end up promoting. Last but not least, Anthony has a story about a family member AND an errant female driver combined so buckle up.

⁣Anthony was able to pester and goad Eric Sammons to come on the show once again, this time to talk about the season of Advent, family Advent traditions, and the book on the Jesse Tree written by Eric and his wife.
