Date – Wednesday, August 9th, 2023 – St. John Baptist Vianney
1. St. John Baptist Vianney lived in the 19th century (1786-1859) and is celebrated on August 9 as the Curé of Ars, a model for clergy.
2. Despite being poor and having limited intelligence, he persevered through seminary, barely passing his exams, and was ordained at age 30.
3. Sent to the village of Ars in France, he became a priest of remarkable impact and influence, canonized by Pius XI in 1925.
4. St. John Vianney, though lacking natural qualities, became an extraordinary preacher, delivering catechetical instructions with great conviction and love.
5. Despite having a weak voice and crowds unable to hear him, his preaching led to numerous conversions, and many perceived God's presence in him.
6. He was dedicated to the confessionary, spending hours hearing confessions, giving counsel, and even denying absolution if he didn't perceive sincere repentance.
7. He opposed dancing and required promises from penitents to avoid such events; his strong stance exemplified his commitment to virtue.
8. St. John Vianney engaged in nightly battles with the devil, enduring physical assaults, deafening noises, and insults, all to save souls.
9. Miracles were attributed to him, although he attributed them to St. Philomena; his gift of discernment enabled him to read souls during confession.
10. His life and extraordinary impact continue to inspire and serve as an example for the modern Catholic clergy, especially during challenging times.
St. John Baptist Vianney, pray for us!

Date – Tuesday, August 8th, 2023 – Blessed John Felton
1. In 1570, St. Pius V issued a Bull excommunicating Queen Elizabeth I of England for heresy and illegitimate rule.
2. Despite objections, St. Pius V hesitated before signing the Bull, which declared Elizabeth guilty of various offenses against the Church.
3. The Bull was posted on the doors of the Bishop of London's palace on May 24, 1570.
4. Catholic insurrections against Elizabeth's rule failed, and many were executed.
5. John Felton, a nobleman with a strong Catholic faith, took action to spread awareness of the excommunication by posting the Bull in a provocative location.
6. The news of the excommunication spread through word-of-mouth in London, igniting discussions among various social classes.
7. Felton was denounced, imprisoned, and tortured for his attempt to depose Elizabeth.
8. He heroically endured torture without revealing names of collaborators.
9. On the scaffold before his execution, Felton publicly denied Elizabeth's right to the throne but sent her a jewel to show lack of personal hatred.
10. Blessed John Felton's steadfastness in the face of torture and death serves as an inspiring example of fidelity to the Catholic cause.
Blessed John Felton, pray for us!

2. He co-founded the Congregation of the Theatines, aiming to promote the Catholic Reformation.
3. The Theatines lived exclusively on spontaneous alms, showing great confidence in God's providence.

Catholic Drive Time - 877-757-9424
Date – Thursday, August 3rd, 2023 – St. Erlembald
1. St. Erlembald was a Milanese Lord and fearless knight of Christ who lived in the 11th century. He came from a wealthy and influential family and held a position of great relevance in Milan.
2. Despite his opulent lifestyle, Erlembald's heart was turned towards God, and he considered entering monastic life after returning from a pilgrimage to the Holy Land.
3. St. Arialdo, a deacon, counseled Erlembald not to become a monk but to remain a lay knight and fight for the Church, which was suffering from simony and impurity in the clergy.
4. Pope Alexander II supported this decision and gave Erlembald a standard to combat the enemies of Christ and defend the Church, even to the shedding of his blood if necessary.
5. Erlembald was known for his charitable acts, caring for the poor and the sick, and defending the interests of the Church in Milan.
6. For ten years, he fought against the spread of simony and corruption, often clashing with Archbishop Guido of Velate, who protected these abuses.
7. Erlembald's actions and efforts led to his excommunication of Archbishop Guido, but the latter continued to create unrest and resistance against him.
8. Together with St. Arialdo, Erlembald faced opposition from those who supported the corrupted Prelates and heretical practices, leading to violent confrontations.
9. Erlembald's commitment to the cause of the Church and the Pope continued throughout his life, and he became a symbol of strength and bravery in the fight against corruption and heresy.
10. St. Erlembald ultimately died fighting for the Catholic Faith and the Pope, leaving a legacy of courage and determination in defending the Church and combating evil in his time.
St. Erlembald, pray for us!

Catholic Drive Time - 877-757-9424
Date – Wednesday, August 2nd, 2023 – Queen of Angels
1. In 1863, a Bernardine Sister was shown the desolation caused by the Devil throughout the world and heard the Blessed Virgin Mary speaking about the need to pray to her as Queen of Angels for assistance against these evil forces.
2. The Sister inquired why the Angels couldn't be sent without asking, to which Our Lady replied that prayer is a condition required by God Himself to obtain favors.
3. Our Lady communicated a prayer to the Sister, urging her to have it printed and distributed everywhere. The prayer invokes the holy Angels under the command and power of Mary to combat and drive away evil spirits.
4. The prayer asks for the defense and protection of the Angels against the cruel enemy and is approved by the Church, granting a 300-day indulgence to those who say it.
5. The Revolution, an evil force that has spread throughout the world, is believed to be supported and influenced by the Devil. The iniquity of the Revolution is seen in its historical eruptions, such as the Protestant Revolution and the French Revolution.
6. The Revolution shows iniquity beyond human evil, indicating the influence of the Devil in its propagation. Many men have succumbed to this extreme evil, and this demonic infestation suggests that the Devil has effectively become the lord of the world.
7. The fight against the Devil is an essential part of the counter-revolutionary struggle. Our Lady, as Queen of the Angels, has the power to expel devils using the Angels as her agents.
8. God entrusted the governance of the universe to created beings, and Angels are intermediaries between God and men, making them the appropriate agents to combat the devils.
9. Men play a special role in this fight. They must invoke Our Lady as Queen of the Angels and ask her to expel the devils from the world. This prayer is crucial in combating the demonic infestation and preparing for the Reign of Mary.
10. By asking for Our Lady's intercession and protection against the evil influence of devils, individuals can seek freedom from temptation and work towards establishing the Reign of Mary, where her rule will bring harmony and grace to the world.
Queen of Angels, pray for us!
