What is the object of the All Saints Day? It is the veneration of all souls that are in Heaven, even if they are not officially canonized or beatified. Anyone who is in Heaven is a holy person. He or she is in the presence of God, sees God face-to-face, and is entirely pleasing to God...
https://www.traditioninaction.....org/SOD/j099sdAllSai

All Souls Day has great significance for us. It is the day when we pray for all the faithful and all the souls who have died and possibly are in Purgatory. It is also the day when the Church – with the tact proper to her – reminds us of the reality of death...

Interview first aired on Catholic Drive Time a product of the Guadalupe Radio Network aired across the GRN and Station of the Cross Radio.

The Once and Future Roman Rite: Returning to the Traditional Latin Liturgy after Seventy Years of Exile. Author: Peter Kwasniewski, PhD

In his latest book, Dr. Peter Kwasniewski argues that, ever since the new liturgical books following the Second Vatican Council came into force, Roman Catholic faithful have suffered the effects of a hasty and far-reaching reform permeated with nominalism, voluntarism, Protestantism, rationalism, antiquarianism, hyperpapalism, and other modern errors. Man is not master over divine liturgy, Dr. Kwasniewski emphasizes; rather, all of us are called to be stewards of the sacred, from the lowest-ranking layman to the pope himself. Dr. Kwasnieski shows that sacred Tradition is the guiding principle for all authentic Christian liturgy, which originates from Christ and is guided by the Holy Spirit throughout the life of the Church. His principal thesis in this work is that the prominent identifying traits of the classical Roman Rite—and indeed of all traditional rites, Eastern and Western—are absent from the Novus Ordo, estranging it from their company and making it impossible to call it “the Roman Rite.” To respond to this crisis of rupture, Dr. Kwasniewski calls for a full return to the traditional rite, the Roman Rite in its robust, perennial richness, for which no special permission is or could ever be needed—as exposited by Pope Benedict XVI. Fidelity to the traditional Latin Liturgy is, at its root, fidelity to the Roman Church and to Christ Himself, Who has lovingly inspired the growth and perfection of our religious rites for two thousand years. This awe-inspiring gift of Tradition allows us to taste, even now, the banquet of the promised land of heaven.

Extra Ecclesiam Nulla Salus - There is No Salvation Outside the Church - This is a hard saying, who can accept this, are the words of the jews upon hearing the difficult teachings of Our Lord. This most esteemed mystery of the faith has been always and everywhere taught by the Church. I will first explain to you how we are saved, then I will explain this most important dogma of the faith and those who to no fault of their own do not know the Church, and the dire consequences of denying such an important truth. But first let us salute the Virgin Mary.
HAIL MARY… Our Lady of Fatima, pray for us! Our Lady of Pompeii, pray for us! Our Lady Hammer of Heretics, pray for us! St. Vincent Ferrer, Pray for us! St. Leonard of Port Maurice, Pray for us!

If you remember nothing else from what I have just said, let me break this down in the simplest manner possible, by anticipating some of your questions. Who will be saved? Those who die in a state of sanctifying grace. Who will be damned? Those who die in a state of mortal sin. How is one placed into sanctifying grace? By faith and Baptism. Can one lose sanctifying grace? Yes, but one mortal sin. Can one reconcile with God? Yes, by the Sacrament of Confession.

The Church in her wisdom has chosen the feasts of St. Stephen, John and the Holy Innocents in the 3 days following the Nativity. Why is that? What's the connection. Find out here.

St. Stephen – December 26
In the fourth step, that hatred increased and the people who opposed St. Stephen began to gnash their teeth in fury. What was the object of that hatred? It was goodness, in and of itself. They hated the good because the good is good, and not for any other reason. A person who does not understand reality would say: "No, they didn’t like him because he made this or that small error when he was explaining his topic, or he lacked the skill to address a particular matter." Such a person has an erroneous interpretation of reality.
https://www.traditioninaction.....org/SOD/j107sdStephe

St. John the Evangelist – December 27
After martyrdom, the most noble and courageous sacrifice one can make to God is that of the virginity and chastity. This is why the liturgical calendar chose the first day after Christmas to celebrate of martyrdom of St. Stephen, model of the martyrs, and the second day, December 27, to celebrate the feast of St. John, model of virgins.
https://www.traditioninaction.....org/SOD/j160sd_StJoh

The Holy Innocents – December 28
Is there reason to believe that those children were true martyrs? Where is the merit to obtain the crown of martyrdom? To this doubt, I answer: Would the goodness of Christ be defeated by the cruelty of Herod? Could that impious king order those innocents killed, and Christ not crown those who died because of Him?

Tradition holds that St. Elias was assumed into Heaven and will come again as the forerunner of Christ to do battle with the Antichrist. This is all about that!

“And as they went on, walking and talking together, behold, a fiery chariot and fiery horses parted them both asunder: and Elias went up by a whirlwind into heaven.” (2 Kings 2:11)

Elias was indeed covered with the whirlwind, and his spirit was filled up in Eliseus: in his days he feared not the prince, and no man was more powerful than he. (Ecclesiasticus 48:13)

Behold, I will send you Elias the prophet, before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord. And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers: lest I come, and strike the earth with anathema. (Mal 4:5–6)

And there appeared to them Elias with Moses: and they were talking with Jesus. And Peter answering, said to Jesus: Rabbi, it is good for us to be here. And let us make three tabernacles, one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias. (Mk 9:3–4)

And I will give unto my two witnesses: and they shall prophesy, a thousand two hundred sixty days, clothed in sackcloth. These are the two olive trees and the two candlesticks that stand before the Lord of the earth. And if any man will hurt them, fire shall come out of their mouths and shall devour their enemies. And if any man will hurt them, in this manner must he be slain. These have power to shut heaven, that it rain not in the days of their prophecy: And they have power over waters, to turn them into blood and to strike the earth with all plagues, as often as they will. Abortion health risks: Abortion increases breast cancer risks, other health risks, and leads to serious emotional consequences. Also, “421 women have died as a result of legal abortion.
Abortion needed for Health reasons: only five percent of all abortions are done for the mother's physical or psychological health. Rape and incest are cited as reasons for less than 1% of all abortions
Why do women get abortions? 1. Unready for responsibility 2. Can't afford baby now 3. Concern about how having a baby would change her life.
Children being abused: In 1973, when abortion became legal in the United States, there were 167,000 cases of child abuse and neglect reported. I confess that I knew the figures were totally false … it was a useful figure, widely accepted, so why go out of our way to correct it with honest statistics?” https://texasrighttolife.com/abortion-myths/

Here I read the sermon of St. Vincent Ferrer on Christmas Day.
Topics addressed:
St. Vincent Ferrer paints us a portrait of the nativity of our Lord. From the coming to Jerusalem to the laying in a manger. What does it all mean? Why a manger? How did our Lady feed our Lord? Plus so much more!

Read the sermon here https://www.svfsermons.org/A158_Christmas.htm

In Nativitate Christi. Sermo unicus

St. Vincent Ferrer: Christmas Sermon (Lk 2:11)

"This day, is born to you a Savior," (Lk 2:11). Our sermon will be about the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ and the Virgin Birth. But that you might sense the spiritual sweetness of this feast, we shall salute the glorious Mother of God. [Vincent now leads his listeners in the "Hail Mary."]

"There is born to us etc." From the beginning of the world up to the birth of Christ there has never been heard such good news, nor so useful for mankind like the news of the proposed theme, "This day, is born to you a Savior," (Lk 2:11) etc. To all who were lost and damned and sentenced to hell. The declaration of this blessed Nativity I deal with in five conclusions.

1. First, that this blessed Nativity was from of old ardently desired by the saints.

2. Second, that this blessed Nativity was cruelly unappreciated by the Jews.

3. Third, that this blessed Nativity was celebrated powerfully by God.

4. Fourth, that this blessed Nativity was humbly hidden by the Virgin Mary.

5. Fifth, that this blessed Nativity was broadcast publicly by the angels saying, "This day, is born to you a Savior," (Lk 2:11).

And anyone who, curiously, might wish to preach all five conclusions, would be excessively prolix. And all are touched in the theme, in which there are five conditions. The first, therefore, is touched by the first saying. The second in the second. The third in the third, and so on for the others.

⁣"A man who governs his passions is master of his world. We must either command them or be enslaved by them. It is better to be a hammer than an anvil."

St. Vincent Ferrer, O.P. Sermon on the Feast of St. Dominic
https://www.svfsermons.org/C30....1_On%20St.%20Dominic
"You are the salt of the earth, " (Mt 5:13 ) This is the text to be read as today's gospel. Just as the whole office and the solemnity of the present day is about the most glorious father and confessor of our Lord, St. Dominic, so also is our sermon. God willing, we shall have many good teachings etc. But first let the Virgin Mary be hailed etc.

Possible origin of the LM
On 16th October of 2002, His Holiness John Paul II began the 25th Anniversary of his Pontificate by publishing an Apostolic Letter Rosarium Virginis Mariae (RVM), in which he inaugurated the Year of the Rosary, to last from October 2002 till October 2003. In this Letter the Pope also introduced five new mysteries of the rosary to be included with the traditional ones. These new mysteries, which he called The Mysteries of Light, or Luminous Mysteries, refer to the public life of Our Lord.

The following are the Mysteries of Light as proposed by Fr Preca, and by the Pope, respectively.

According to Fr Preca:
When Our Lord Jesus Christ, after his baptism in the Jordan, was led into the desert.
When Our Lord Jesus Christ showed, by word and miracles, that He is true God.
When Our Lord Jesus Christ taught the Beatitudes on the mountain.
When Our Lord Jesus Christ was transfigured on the mountain.
When Our Lord Jesus Christ had his last Meal with the Apostles.

According to the Pope:
Jesus' Baptism in the river Jordan;
His self-manifsestation at the wedding at Cana;
His proclamation of the Kingdom of God, with his call to conversion;.
His transfiguration before the Apostles on Mount Tabor.
His institution of the Eucharist, as the sacramental expression of the Paschal Mystery.

...I believe, however, that to bring out fully the Christological depth of the Rosary it would be suitable to make an addition to the traditional pattern which, while left to the freedom of individuals and communities, could broaden it to include the mysteries of Christ’s public ministry between his Baptism and his Passion. – Rosarium Virginis Mariae 19 https://www.vatican.va/content..../john-paul-ii/en/apo

⁣I respond to an email I got saying that Pro-Choice Catholics are a real option.

Here's the text of the email

Adrian, today is the last day that I will listen to your podcast. You presume that all Catholics agree abiut abortion and choice . Perhaps your Podcast is kind of like Fox News - there to present one viewpoint.

I am Democrat, a mother, a Catholic and pro choice. I’m also pro life. I am against the death penalty, and I do not wish for any woman to have to go through an abortion. Unfortunately those on the right view “life” through a very narrow lens. And this is the reason why I am so disgusted by podcasts like yours that within the first two minutes talk about “killing babies“. No one, I repeat, no one, wants to kill babies. Everyone wants a baby to be born into a loving household. Unfortunately that is not always how it works. Pregnancies occur for a number of reasons. This might be a newsflash for you sir, but men participate in pregnancies. There’s no conversation about the man’s role in any of this, ever.

If the Catholic Church was truly pro-life, it would be the first in line to champion for national healthcare, excellent prenatal care, a support system for all women before during and after the pregnancies, and strive to ensure that every child from birth through adulthood receives an equitable and excellent education family support and healthcare. Where is that part of the conversation? You can’t talk about being pro life if you don’t want to fully engage in the entirety of the coversation.

I will not listen to your podcast again, and I would not encourage any of my friends to listen to it. Shame on you for fanning the flames.

Monica

Tridentine Brewing is a family homebrewing operation founded by Jeffery Alcorn, our head brewmaster, and his two sons, Trevor and Cameron.

BEER WITH A MESSAGE
Our Latin motto is "Braciare ad majorem Dei gloriam", or in English, "Brewing beer for the greater glory of God."

At our core, we are a Traditional Catholic brewery with a focus on bringing glory to God and honor to our Country.

Each beer features a label and theme that hearkens back to a simpler time, when God, Family, and Country were at the heart of most homes. In a world consumed by materialism, modernism, and radical progressivism, we strive to glorify the traditions and values of an earlier time: a time when God, Country, and Family were honored above all else.

With each beer, we hope you'll join us in raising a glass to the Saints, heroes, and traditions that we love and hold dear.
