Manner to Receive Holy Communion

Jesus said "I am the Bread of Life". We need this Bread for Eternal Life. We desire to be drawn into the Sacrifice of Christ on the Cross to humble ourselves as Our Master. We must have this humility and profess this mystery in the manner which we recieve Holy Communion on the knee and on the "throne" of the tongue.

Thank you for this explanation. I think I too was one of those N.O. Catholics who believed that the Mass was just a teleportation to the Last Supper. Definitely Jesus deserves adoration as He is the Bread of Life; he is that line in the Lord’s Prayer (according to Matthew) “Panem nostrum supersubstantialum da nobis hodie.”
