⁣Gabriel Gregorio Fernando José María García y Moreno y Morán de Buitrón (December 24, 1821 – August 6, 1875)
In addition to having a battle plan for avoiding falling into sin, once we are free from sin it is very helpful to have a daily rule, or Regula, to order our day toward sanctity and avoid idleness. An example to consider is the daily rule created by Gabriel Garcia Moreno, the martyred former President of Ecuador (a matyrdom predicted by Our Lady of Good Success). A copy of his daily rule can be found here: http://www.reginaprophetarum.org

⁣In great detail, Constantine dispels the myth of “Hitler’s Pope” and other assorted nonsense with the real details of the Church’s resistance to, as well as persecution by the Nazi regime. Apart from the political and historical details of how the Nazi state broke up Catholic life in Germany, Constantine also shares the many stories of German priests sent to Dachau or other labor camps for upholding the Catholic Faith.

⁣The name Banneux stems from the word 'banal' meaning 'common-place', the hamlet that was built on marshy land reserved for the poor. I am the Virgin of the Poor - the story of Our Lady of Banneux narrated by Jaqueline Owen.

The Knights of the Hospital ultimately were forced by the Ottoman Turkish advance to move to Malta. It is from this move that their present name, the Knights of Malta, arises. The Knights, in one of the most glorious pages of their history, fought off a horrific Ottoman siege in the 1500's. Mr. Davies, who personally came to know Malta while being stationed there as a soldier in the British Army, describes the siege with great clarity and enthusiasm. ⁣"Viva Cristo Rey! Viva la Virgin de Guadalupe!" was the war cry. Actual eye witness descriptions of the persecution of Catholics and the Church in Mexico (circa 1917-1926), especially of the Blessed Sacrament, priests and religious, by the Federales (Mexican Federal Police). The REAL revolutionaries were not the Cristeros but the anti-Catholic, Masonic regime. USA government support. The Vatican's interdict was a protective effort because the persecution was so vicious. In the countryside the war of the Cristiada began on August 3, 1924.The women were instrumental. When the war was declared ended the persecution escalated and the remaining Cristeros were hunted. ⁣The Tudor Queen Mary restored Catholicism after the Calvinizing period under Edward. She did not live long enough to complete her work. No one really knew what her half-sister Elizabeth believed when she became monarch. It was she, however, Michael Davies explains, who was really to turn England Protestant. She did so through that strange "via media" of the Anglican Church, which sought to avoid the "extremes" of Catholicism and Calvinism, only to fall under political and secular guidance. ⁣Lecture then Q&A session by Christopher Check who does an outstanding job
delivering this talk. Roughly 56 min
lecture then Q&As after.
The average American's understanding of Mexican history is incomplete.
American Catholics, however, should know Mexican history, because unlike our
own history, much of Mexican history is Catholic history. What is more, the
brutal persecution of the Church in Mexico may well foreshadow that to come
in the United States.
