Welcome! My name is Christopher Jasper, founder and director of the Gregorian Chant Academy. My mission is to help passionate lovers of Gregorian chant go from feeling helpless, hopeless and frustrated to competent, confident & dynamic singers/directors with depth of understanding and prayerful, artistic beauty, so they can fearlessly and joyfully sing the praises they love so much and pass it on to future generations. As of Pentecost, 2023, The Gregorian Chant Academy has merged with Floriani Sacred Music and we are now one organization seeking to bring about a renaissance in traditional sacred music in the Church, especially within the States.
About Me: Raised in the Traditional Latin Mass from birth, I have been assiduously studying & singing chant since 1997 & directing since 2008. I have studied with Dom Saulnier at the Abbey of Solesmes & the Centre d'Etudes Superieures de la Renaissance in Tours, France. I'm a former Postulant & current Oblate of the Benedictine Monastery of St Benedict in Norcia, Italy.
